Real time ultrasound scanning enables identification of inflammation, tears and ruptures, lesions, fluid collections and soft tissue masses. High frequency ultrasound allows you to visualise not only tendon tears, but the sheath and interior fibrillar structure enabling much earlier diagnosis of potential problems.
Real time ultrasound imaging allows for dynamic assessment of anatomy and for patient interaction during the scanning session (unlike an MRI scan).
