Join us for a day of shockwave therapy training. The day is aimed at veterinary professionals including physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths who would like to use shockwave therapy.
Shockwave uses sound waves to stimulate repair of tissues. It can release growth factors and can help dissolve dystrophic mineralisation (calcium deposits) in tissues.
Shockwave can be particularly effective for osteoarthritis, lumbosacral disease, tendinopathies and ligament injuries and has been used to treat a range of other conditions.
The morning will consist of:
10:00am Arrival tea and coffee
10:30am Theory of Zimmer shockwave therapy machines Roy Bennett EMS Physio
11:30am Theory of treatment on dogs and horses Rachel Mowbray BVSc MRCVS CCRP
13:30pm Practical demonstrations and training
We will have horses and dogs to demonstrate the machines on so all attendees will have the chance to use the shockwave machines.
